By using an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Researchers found people's brains showed a particular pattern when people look at particular objects. The scientists call this object form topography." Patterns for houses, faces and scrambled pictures were 100% accurate.

There are serious medical application, especially in assessing damage in the brain of patients who have just suffered a stroke, where doctors may be able to tell if recognition of particular objects has been affected.
