This site has 185,000 images - about 95 gigabytes of material on Art and Achitecture from the Mediterranean Basin and is quickly adding tons of material on on Kyoto, Nara, and East Asia.

This resource actually comes The Australian National University, and unfortunately some of the nifty features are not available outside of that facility. Nevertheless, it is a real wealty source worth many visists.
