Here is a project that I though might be too complicated, or expensive, or both. This site covers the making of an excellent project, the plan allows anyone to build an ultra-simple hovercraft that can lift several adults. It is very inexpensive to build. If you feel slightly more adventuresome, you will find the plans for an enhanced version of the craft. And, I am sure that, if you build the simple hovercraft, will be "hooked" and proceed to the better plan.
