NetLibrary

A True NetLibrary

The netLibrary is one of the most comprehensive collection of online books (eBooks) and resource materials available. Users can view ebooks for a specific amount of time, at which time the ebook are automatically "checked in" again and made available to other users. Users must sign up for a (free) login account in netLibrary when checking out a book for the first time. To read offline, you must first download the netLibrary eBook Reader free software onto your computer. When the checkout period for a book is over, the file closes and cannot be opened again unless you checkout the book again. Upon second checkout, the entire eBook does not have to be downloaded again — only a new timer is downloaded. It is obvious that netlibrary.com is out there to make money. Right now a lot of libraries are getting a free trial. Please check with your local library to see if they are participating.

What about netlibrary.com's competition: Well there is some but the marketing target is different,Questia Media and Ebrary.com, are focusing their marketing efforts directly on us the consumers rather than going through libraries.

Check if your local library belongs to the NetLibrary. If not, give them a nudge!
